Established in 2019 as a community theatre group, Paul's Players first performance was Shakespeare's part tragedy, part romance, part exuberant comedy The Winter's Tale. This fast-paced new production was set in a 1957 nightclub and directed by Fr Jonathan Boardman.

The Winter's Tale premiered on 4 March 2020 and had three sold-out performances. It included Shakespeare’s most famous stage direction and a special guest appearance by Alex Kingston (Moll Flanders, ER, Doctor Who).
